Born on the ore planet of Elphrona, Jayce Kiodo was raised during the fall of the New Republic. Even out in the Outer Rim Territories, the advance of the diabolical First Order could be felt. With no future prospects in the desolate rocky hills of his homeworld, he took his speederbike-riding taste for speed and daring along with this rage for the Order and joined the Resistance Starfighter Corps as an A-Wing Pilot.
Now, after the Hosnian Cataclysm; the Resistance is scattered and clinging to whatever scraps of equipment, intelligence, and brawn that it can. As a result, their ranks have had to adapt - taking on multiple roles to try to stay ahead of the First Order’s advances. In joining the vaunted and mysterious Burgundy Squadron, Jayce has dedicated himself to the cause through any means necessary.
Captain Shaven Vega - Rebel Intelligence. When the Empire crushed the rebellion on his planet, Shaven was forced to flee as one of the last standing partisans. He made his way to the larger group on Batuu, where he found a new home among people who shared his ideals. Current location undisclosed.
I’m Dree'v, but you can call me Drew; it's easier to remember. I grew up on Onderon. But spent most of my time following the family around rebel bases. Dad was a “teacher,” as best I can put it. Tho he spent lots of time working in various positions within the Rebellion.
Since I joined Burgundy Squadron, I’ve already seen some action. Within the last few rotations, I’ve been stationed on Tatooine. Here’s a quick scan of where I’m staying. That’s my T-65 in the background there. She’s seen some stuff. Could use a wash, if I’m being honest. The last mission saw a few of us settling some discrepancies between the locals and some insurgents on Savareen, which isn't surprising given the constant hyper fuel crisis.
When I’m out on patrol, I’m always looking out for interesting trinkets and souvenirs from around the galaxy. Guess I picked that up from my mom. I love to trade with other pilots and add my trinkets to my cockpit to remind me of different places I’ve been, battles I’ve flown in.
A son of the former face of the Imperial propaganda campaign, Mars grew up with the upper Coruscant elites.
After the collapse of the Imperials, his family went down with it. Being the face of the Imperials did not do his family well.
With his knack on putting together things on the fly, he ended up selling comlinks and bootleg trinkets on the corner of the streets.
Not being able to adapt to the financial situation, his family is struggling, and Mars had to find a job. Figuring he'd be able to kill 2 birds with 1 stone, he ended up working as a Droidsmith at the Droid Depot in Batuu while keeping an eye on the First Order activities.
Di Iso was born on the jungle planet of Kashyyyk. Rescued as a youngling after an Imperial air strike on a Rebel data collection compound. He was the lone survivor being found by a tribe of Wookies who nursed him back to health and adopted him into their fold.
As Di grew older, he was trained in piloting and tracking individuals while staying undetected. Eventually crafting his T-70 X-Wing Starfighter with the help of his trusted companion and mechanic, a pitdroid by the service number of BRD-7.
The two currently spend their days traveling the galaxy documenting travelers, locations, and items into the Holoscan Database. Their goal is to rebuild the knowledge that the Empire destroyed long ago.
Di gained the trust of Maddox after crossing paths with Ceit Ryder during a compromised reconnaissance mission, helping her evade capture. The record of Imperial casualties that day is still classified.
Spleedoc is the cousin of Could-Rider Chussido. Born into a family of freedom fighters, it's in his blood to fight the Empire. Spleedoc leads his own fighters known as The Rodian Liberation Front. They are a band of guerilla fighters, trying to pry open the Empire's grip on Rodia. Always on the hunt to find help, this sly Rodian has mustered up a network of spies, mercenaries, smugglers, and bounty hunters working in conjunction with the Rebel Alliance. Traveling in his refurbished Starspeeder 3000, Spleedoc has made it from Endor to Batuu, Coruscant, to even Naboo. If there's something of use to the cause, he'll fly far and wide to get it. But home will always be sharing a roast Porg dinner on Rodia.
Stór Stútorka left the slums of Corellia at an early age, trying to make his way as a deck hand on any smuggler vessel he could hitch a ride with. He picked up many useful skills through the years and amassed an even bigger list of connections in the underworld, eventually making a name for himself as a formidable tracker and bounty hunter. Stór now calls the planet Daiyu home where he can easily blend into the crowd of the neon nightlife.
Sidara looks like another barkeep at any backwater cantina, hair the color of dried straw and eyes the same sharp yellow that miss nothing. An angry vibroblade scar runs across her nose and right cheek, a quiet map of a night she never tells the whole of, an ever-present reminder that keeps her smile half-closed and rehearsed. Behind the bar she moves like a blade herself — fluid, economical, and almost hypnotic — palms sliding over glass and bottle, elbow angling away a troublemaker before they know they’ve been deflected. Friends call her Sid; counter-informants named her “the Shrike” because she gathers secrets and lets them bleed out only when needed. Protective to the few she claims and mercilessly pragmatic to threats, she keeps Thorn, a wicked recurved knife, hidden in the folds of her apron; when she draws it the motion is so seamless it looks like part of a pour.
What keeps her from being just another barkeep is the ledger in her head: routes, favors owed, slights remembered, and the soft trade of information that flows through the cantina like smoke. She peddles truths and half-truths with a cunning smile, coaxing confession from strangers and storing leverage like seeds for lean seasons. Before the scar, she was a child courier for ever-jockeying whisper networks and a quick-handed pickpocket on dimly lit desert streets; after, she became indispensable to both rumor-mongers and the Rebels. Sidara cultivated a larder of favors — a cook who will hide messages in stew, a waterman who only asks for a bottle in return, a magistrate with soft teeth for bribes — and runs it between wiping glasses and sliding garnishes into order. To her contacts, she's an innocuous middle-woman: a bartender who remembers birthdays and a shadow who remembers alliances. When a plan needs a backdoor, a lie needs a lifeline, or a friend needs an exit, Sidara ‘the Shrike” is the answer — a quiet, lethal guardian with a drink at hand and Thorn at the ready.
Tiki comes from a family of scientists and engineers who worked with the government of Alderaan in the clone wars and left to help other planets in the galaxy in the years following. Tiki grew up a wild child, so in an attempt to give her structure when she kept skipping her lessons, her parents decided a more practical approach might be more effective. She was sent to learn with her uncle and cousin on Corellia in a large hangar. She took a particular interest in the guts of the starships and learned everything she could.
Her parents were on Alderaan when the Empire destroyed it, and she vowed to help the resistance in any way she could. Her wild child ways came in handy as she used her quick wit and impersonation skills to gain access to imperial technology to pass along the information to those on the side of the light.
After the destruction of the empire, she did not stop her work. She took on several of her own apprentices and still designs new technologies to help keep the galaxy safe. She often stakes out planets by posing as a casual sketch artist looking at architecture, or you might catch her in her coveralls tinkering in a workshop under the panel of a starship.
She’s always ready for the call and is committed to fighting so that no other little girl will suffer as she did.
Born an only youngling from a defected Scout Trooper who survived the Ewoks and a Rebel Alliance Communications Specialist, who stayed on Endor during the clean up after the Battle of Endor. Growing up amidst towering trees and vibrant ecosystems, E'tan developed an innate connection to the world around him. From a young age, he displayed an aptitude for understanding the intricate mechanics of nature, often spending hours tinkering with machines and communication systems salvaged from wrecked starships and 74-Z speeder bikes that dotted the moon's surface. He even refurbished an old R5 droid R5-3T (AKA: Reset) so he'd have a friend.
The tranquility of Endor was shattered when news of the rise of the First Order reached the moon. Witnessing the oppression and tyranny inflicted upon countless innocents across the galaxy, E'tan knew he could not remain idle. With a heavy heart, he and his companion droid "Reset" felt compelled and bid farewell to his home world, setting forth on a journey to join the fight.
E'tan's traveled the Outer Rim, utilizing his expertise as a Mechanic and Communications Specialist quickly earned him recognition among the Outer Rim and was recruited into the Burgundy Squadron. While running an everyday mechanic business; However in secret when working undercover, he and his trusty droid "Reset" would assist in repairing Resistance starfighters and tech, while scanning the comm frequencies for First Order transmissions to slice and selling what information he spied to the Resistance.
Trained as a Starfighter pilot for the Ralltiir Defense Forces, Captain Karu Batasi served in Recce Squadron 33 before the Ralltiiri Government capitulated to the Empire. A rebellious splinter group of government officials engineered the "disappearance" of the Y-Wing squadron, along with support vessels and crew.
Operating from bases on two of the Ralltiir moons, 33 Squadron performed reconnaissance missions for various Pre-Alliance commands, as well as ferrying operatives to and from Ralltiir and its moons for clandestine missions.
Less frequently, the squadron made hit and run attacks on Imperial shipping, but the loss of ships and crew coupled with difficulties in rearming anti-ship ordnance made those costly endeavors.
After being shot down on Murapenthe, Batasi was able to evade capture and cross the dunes to make contact with the local Rebel faction. Arriving at the safe house, Karu met Major Thorn for debrief, where more suitable uniforms were provided, along with an invitation to Burgundy Squadron. Teamed with Agent Rana, Batasi would take a group to act as a Forward Air Control team and assist local Rebel factions at the besieged Xeraph City.
Batasi returned to the safehouse briefly before loading reconnaissance equipment, fractal communications gear, weapons, and supplies for the crossing. Karu and Rana were joined by Major Thorn and several specialists before launching. While the Xeraph City operation was in progress, Batasi visited Ferrix, Batuu, and other locations, providing and collecting intel, ferrying agents, and performing services to Burgundy Squadron.
Born amid the chaos & uncertainty of Raxus Secundus, right after the formation of the Galactic Empire. His early years were tumultuous, marked by the stark contrast between the war-ravaged landscapes and the opulent political elites of Raxus. At 14, he left his home, diving deeper into the underworld, refining his skills in slicing and code breaking. The Kanjiclub saw potential in his elusive talents and recruited him. He soon became one of the most sought-after slicers on the holonet.
With the formation of the New Republic, Kai seized opportunities among the chaos, amassing a fortune in credits. He acquired “The Prospect,” a Y2K Corellian small freighter, and an astromech 3M-PTY, or “Empty” as he liked to call it. At the age of 46, his path intersected with a Kowakian monkey-lizard on Tatooine, which he rescued from a pack of Anooba. This monkey-lizard, named Bizzle or Bizz, became his companion, assisting him with slicing and offering companionship in his lone travels.
Around the same time, Kai began running jobs for the First Order, his motives intertwined with reputation and profit. However, at 49, he witnessed something that fundamentally altered his perspective. He saw the chilling abduction of innocent children and their subsequent brainwashing by the First Order. He could handle a lot of things, but crimes against children is where he drew the line. Haunted by the echoes of his past and the visions of torment, he started to question his existence, his role in this vast, complex universe. It was a turning point for Kai, leading him to abandon the criminal life and wander the galaxy a shell of who he was until meeting Commander Maddox who offered Kai a spot in the Burgundy Squadron as a way of finding redemption and meaning in fighting against oppression.
Kai then traveled back to Batuu, aiding Vi, the spy he once hunted for the First Order, in acquiring critical intel on the First Order’s activities in that sector. Each mission, each alliance, became a step towards redemption, a beacon of hope in his journey through the shadows and lights of the galaxy.
Elzo was born into a long line of nerf herders, enjoying a carefree pastoral life. He had just turned 5 years old when Mon Mothma chose the skies above his idyllic home world of Dantooine to deliver her famous speech, resigning from the Galactic Senate and founding the Alliance to Restore the Republic. His dreams of one day joining this brave new Alliance quickly evaporated when the fledgling Rebel Fleet retreated to Yavin 4 after the Battle of Scarif.
An Imperial garrison was established to scour the remote Dantooine system for any Rebel activity and to begin mining its natural resources. During the occupation, Elzo eked out a living shuttling supplies between the Imperial blockade ships and the occupied starports below. While he had no love for the Empire, the life of a tug pilot was a far better fate than toiling in the mines. After the mines were exhausted and the cost of maintaining the distant and tactically inconsequential occupation became too great, the garrison redeployed elsewhere, finally leaving the Dantooinians to rebuild in peace. Elzo had nearly abandoned all hope of freedom when he heard rumors of a group of irregulars, agitators, and freedom fighters calling themselves Burgundy Squadron. He began to learn from them how to wage an underground war against an overwhelming enemy. Using his knowledge of Imperial supply and logistics, Elzo methodically arranged a seemingly random series of accidents, including mysterious disappearances of personnel, supplies, and inexplicable equipment failures. Though sabotage was always suspected, Elzo was careful not to leave a trace.
This time of tranquility was short-lived as the First Order had recently formed an orbital blockade around Dantooine, choking off traffic and heavily taxing any trade. Discretely navigating through gaps in the blockade in his TUG-b13 Quadjumper “The Cuff”, Elzo used his ranching business as a cover to provide covert supply drops for Burgundy Squadron operations, infil and exfil, and arranging safehouse sanctuaries throughout the Outer Rim for those whose reputation had gotten a little too hot.
Born in 7986 CRC on the planet Chandrila, he is a citizen of Black Spire Outpost on Batuu during the First Order-Resistance war. His ship is the Guttersnipe, a Mark II B-Wing which he purchased on credit from Dok Ondar, the local antiquities dealer. Using his historical education from the University of Bar’leth, he scours the galaxy for antiques and trinkets that will add up to enough to pay off his debt to the old Ithorian. With the heavy firepower and rugged shielding of the Guttersnipe, it is perfect for running blockades and evading planetary defense forces. This also makes it ideal for smuggling cargo past the growing First Order patrols in the sector. He also helps to make ends meet by hosting Sabacc tournaments throughout the Outer Rim.
Berk Yates had always been a scoundrel. He made his living smuggling kyber crystals on the planet of Batuu, where The First Order's grip on the galaxy was weakest. He had no illusions about being a hero, no dreams of saving the galaxy, he just wanted to make a living and keep his head down.
That all changed when he stumbled upon a group of Rebels, hiding out on Batuu. They were a scrappy bunch, with mismatched gear and a determination that bordered on fanaticism. Berk was immediately drawn to their cause and the possible promise of a payday. He joined the Resistance, using his skills as a smuggler to transport their supplies and personnel across the galaxy. He had a talent for making gadgets that helped him stay one step ahead of the First Order. As he fought alongside the Resistance, Berk began to see the galaxy in a different light. He realized that there was more to life than just making a profit and that the cause of the Resistance was bigger than any personal gain.
His past eventually caught up with him. The First Order, suspicious of his sudden change in business dealings with them, sent a team of stormtroopers to bring him in. Berk was forced to fight for his life. In the end, he emerged victorious, but not without scars. He had lost friends, but he had gained something more valuable - a sense of purpose and a family among the Rebellion.
Born on the rugged, forested world of Onderon, a planet known for its wild jungles and fierce creatures. His father, Jaren Kross, served as a Republic Scout during the tumultuous Clone Wars, scouting and mapping regions for strategic military use. Tragically, Jaren vanished in a Separatist ambush when Silas was just seven years old. Left to raise Silas alone, his mother, Liana Kross, was a dedicated community leader who fiercely opposed the rising Imperial presence on Onderon. Her activism, however, made her a target, and she was killed during an early Imperial crackdown aimed at crushing resistance.
Silas was quickly drawn to Onderon’s underground resistance movements, eventually leading him to join Saw Gerrera’s Partisans at age sixteen.Under Gerrera’s mentorship, Silas became a skilled guerrilla fighter, quickly distinguishing himself through his bravery and tactical acumen. He specialized in sabotage and raids, targeting Imperial convoys and mining outposts across the Mid and Outer Rim territories. Although highly effective, Silas grew increasingly troubled by Gerrera's brutal methods and disregard for collateral damage. Silas abandoned the Partisans and joined the Rebel Alliance, dedicating himself to the fight against tyranny in a way aligned with his own ethical boundaries.
Following the victory at Endor and the collapse of the Galactic Empire, Silas sought a new purpose. He founded Krayt Solutions, an arms trading enterprise grounded in clear ethical principles: Silas would only supply weaponry and gear to factions actively resisting oppression or defending themselves. He explicitly refused dealings with slavers, enforcers, and fascist regimes. Seeking redemption and purpose beyond commerce, Silas joined Burgundy Squadron, a specialized group of fighters dedicated to hunting down and neutralizing remnants of the Empire still active in the galaxy. He continues to balance his duties in Burgundy Squadron with running Krayt Solutions, striving to ensure that freedom, justice, and integrity guide every choice he makes.
A talented shipbuilder from Corellia was born into a family renowned for their shipbuilding skills. His promising life took a dark turn when the Empire wrongly accused his family of aiding rebels, forcing him to flee. He ended up on Bracca, working in the Scrappers Guild, dismantling ships for parts. The harsh conditions made him resourceful and resilient, but he still dreams of reclaiming his family's legacy and fighting against the Empire. In the meantime, he bides his time, planning his future rebellion.
Akira was born on Ryloth to gamblers who just didn’t know when to quit. When 10 year old Akira was taken by debt collectors to Tattoine, she knew if she wanted to survive, she’d have to learn to make herself useful. She quickly grew a reputation for fast reflexes while zipping through town making deliveries on her speeder. A mid-tier criminal syndicate saw her piloting potential and offered her a pod racing contract. She's been racing ever since - bound by a contract she can't escape. So she plays the game - flirts, flashes a smile, brags on the mic — but she hates being owned.
During one of her more daring and reckless Boonta Eve Classic races where she narrowly defeated fellow pod racer Zetho, the Obsidian Cartel took interest in her impressive piloting skills. They offer her a deal - run spice and continue pod racing for them, and they will buy her freedom. She knows she is too valuable of an asset to ever legitimately earn enough to escape servitude, so she agrees.
She continues to win races during the day and quickly becomes one of the Obsidian Cartel’s best spice runners. She wears a small glass vial of spice around her neck to remind her of the freedom and second chance she was given by the Obsidian Cartel. After one of her spice run drops at Outpost 77 on Sallak she is recruited by the Burgundy Squadron. She is eager to use the pain and hurt she endured to fight for others who also dream of being free from oppression.
Del Lantor was a humble sand whale butcher who lived in Anchorhead, slaving the day away as others did. He noticed a newcomer by the name of Ben who began employment under the mutual manager-ship of Groff Ditcher.
Del Lantor continues to live in Anchorhead, eventually becoming one of the driving forces against Imperial oppression on Tatooine until the end of the Galactic Civil War in 5 ABY. He lives comfortably with his family as a communications engineer to ensure peaceful relations between the daimyō of Tatooine and The New Republic.
Rebellions aren’t cheap. But Sabacc can pay well, if you can play well. With a knack for cards, Drel SanLom and his “prone to violence” Ewok, use their winnings to help fund the fight against the Empire, with an obviously small cut taken, for their “troubles”
Spice Runner, Sabacc scoundrel and Saboteur for hire, Drel is well known for good business and getting the job done.
This gives him a peculiar placement in the Outer Rim territories: He works freely among all syndicates of his choosing.
While very dangerous, “conflict of interest” is no worry of his. Every ‘would be aggressor’ not killed is a potential business partner/informant/rebellion recruit.
But GREED can get the best of some…
So, roll those Spike Dice if you must. But when you draw that smoke wagon, pray you’re not already on the business end, of his.
Kaas is a master slicer and thief who specializes in anonymity. He puts his skills to work, making trouble for the First Order and their supporters whenever possible.
Born in 1bby, and taken in first by a low-level criminal on the streets of Coruscant then adopted by an Upper-level Socialite, Kaas learned how to navigate and blend into the complex underworlds and high societies of the galaxy at an early age.
In his youth, he excelled at programming, and by the age of 18, he could slice just about any
system and create programs that confounded the most complex security protocols in the galaxy.
Following the death of his mother at the hands of the First Order when he was 25, he disappeared into the shadows to gather a network of spies and allies to help him exact his revenge. He began terrorizing the First Order and their supporters by using his slicing and thievery skills to steal credits, information, and arms earmarked for FO operations and giving them to the Resistance. His unconventional tactics eventually got him noticed by Burgundy Squadron.
He was recruited because no door is locked to him. He can locate the untraceable and steal the untouchable. If you need a problem solved with cleverness, stealth, and sometimes questionable ethics, he’s your guy. He is a master of secrecy and subterfuge, as skilled in technology as a Jedi with a lightsaber. His enemies never see him coming and dread his next move. He is an afterthought, a fiction, a ghost in the machine that will not stop until the First Order is brought down for good!
In the pursuit of freedom from Imperial-occupied Garel, Daar joined the enigmatic ranks of Crimson Dawn, showcasing his value through the clandestine distribution of "adrift gear." His relentless journey, spanning from the industrial labyrinth of the Glavis Ringworld to the ethereal cloudscape of Bespin and beyond, defined a life marked by one mission after another.
In the ensuing decades, Daar grappled with the intricate task of disentangling himself from Crimson Dawn, a complex endeavor laden with steep costs and ever-increasing sacrifices. His perilous role teetered on the fine line between a small-time criminal and a remorseless mercenary. In a tragic operation on Daiyu, he faced the agonizing reality of this existence, extinguishing the life of an innocent civilian.
Determined to sever ties, Daar embarked on the audacious gamble of acquiring a Tie Echelon, a move that could secure freedom, lead to arrest, or bind him further to Crimson Dawn. Arriving on Batuu, Daar, guided by a local holoscanner, Di Iso, established contact with a resistance cell named Burgundy Squadron, recognizing the potential impact on his conscience. This decision marked a decisive turn in his tumultuous journey.
Zeezz grew up on his home planet of Rodia under the protection of the Republic. At the later stages of the Clone Wars, he was trained as a pilot, serving the republic as a private supply transport pilot. He found himself in numerous skirmishes with pirates and separatists looking to disrupt republic supply chains. During the rise of the Empire, Zeezz was distrusting of the new regime, finding the empire to be more oppressive than peaceful. He wasn’t alone in his concerns, and many of his former republic colleagues started talking of rebellion as their situation worsened. As a favor from a friend, Zeezz was brought into a small rebel cell, acting once again as a supply pilot. He smuggled weapons and other goods for some time before his skills were recognized by the ever-growing Rebel Alliance.
Once the Alliance was in full swing, Zeezz found himself in the cockpit of an X-wing fighter, training new pilots for the cause. During the early years of the galactic civil war, Zeezz was given orders to train a group of new pilots. He was given coordinates for a sector his higher-ups deemed fit for training, but the location was known for Imperial activity. Despite his protest, Zeezz obeyed his orders and set out with his cadets and training partner, Torra. It wasn’t long into their training session before a squadron of TIE fighters led by a TIE interceptor ambushed them. Zeezz fought hard as he watched his cadets perish one by one. Eventually, his partner and best friend Torra was lost along with them. Alone, Zeezz took out the rest of the TIE squadron.
He returned home by himself. After the incident, Zeezz had growing issues with his chain of command, noting that he tried to tell them
the sector he was sent to was unsafe. He decided to separate himself without completely cutting ties with the cause he still very much believed in. He went back to what he knew best, smuggling. Over time, he felt his efforts weren’t doing enough damage to the Empire, but he still found himself cautious to step back into the Alliance; that is, until he was made aware of Burgundy Squadron.
Jeshi Tres knew little but stories of the greater galaxy until the Empire attacked her home planet of Pabu. That was the last time Jeshi would be caught unprepared for a fight. She trained and grew her skillset for many years before officially joining the Rebellion. As a new recruit, she ran missions with several Clone Wars veterans, with whom she formed a dedicated camaraderie until critical assignments forced the group to split. These days Jeshi is an intelligence operative, inconspicuously watching and listening for anything that could give the Alliance the upper hand.
