"The only way to leave this place is to leave it better than you found it." - Mabari Proverb
There are lots of stories about Creeos: straight laced family man with a knack for U-Wing maneuvers; ex-cargo pilot living payload to payload with some smuggling on the side (a not uncommon occurrence in this galaxy); amateur speeder bike racer who could sell his bikes faster than he could race them; latent Crimson Dawn recruiter. The deepest rumors suggest some sort of connection to Guile Company, and the long absences only add to the mystery of this Burgundy Squadron operative.
Whatever the real story, no one questions his commitment to defeating tyranny in all of its forms or his dedication to rebuilding and creating a sustainable community after the battle. His green thumb and innate ability to identify and understand the relationships of resources before and after a disaster have proven to be an asset to the Alliance.
Commander Maddox recruited Creeos after a successful operation on Coruscant involving COMPNOR and the Ethelword heir. Since then, Creeos has been an integral, albeit sometimes absent, presence in Burgundy Squadron.
Stev Rek, born on Coruscant's lower levels, scrapped and clawed his way to become a top spy for the rebellion. Being able to blend into most criminal syndicates, he uses his contacts to collect intel for the rebellion. He also has a companion droid R5-N4, aka INFO. He escaped Narkina 5 in the mass escape and later joined up with Saw's partisans before merging with the rebellion after Saw's death on Jedha. He now works with the Resistance trying to remind them of the militant organization they came from and what it takes to defeat empires.
Ferrix through and through. There is a brick in every outpost on Ferrix with the Lera family name on it. The people of Ferrix will not sleep when injustice lives, so many find themselves in the ranks of the Resistence. Growing up on a scrapyard planet and working as a grappler in the yards developed Tefaan’s knowledge of mechanics and a particular kind of creative ingenuity that has served her and those she works with on many occasions. Now, her brain is challenged, disguising tech, outfitting ships, and developing whatever the Burgundy Squandron needs to accomplish their clandestine missions.
She’s now seen more of the galaxy than she ever imagined she would but looks forward to returning home where she hopes to one day serve as the chapter president for the Daughters of Ferrix in her outpost. For now, that will have to wait.
Ajems Rikk, Captain of the Celestial Fire. I am currently employed by the Black Sun. I use my ship’s sensors to collect information on rival gangs, and they pay me well for that. I work exclusively for them, and in turn, they keep the bounty on my head off the books.
It's a funny story how I got that bounty. You see, I had a pretty good, legitimate life at one point. I used to be an Imperial Engineer building and testing long-range sensors for the Imperial Navy. I rose up to be a Test Director, but I wanted to be a pilot. I got a commission and went to SkyStrike to get my pilot wings. But, in the last checkride, I was washed out when I refused to fire on a civilian freighter. I thought it was a test of our moral character. I was wrong. When I tried to go back to my old job, my clearances had been canceled, and my records were stricken. Seemed I was of no further use to them, and eventually, they put a bounty on my head. I bought my ship with my remaining money, an old Corellian NX13 Light Freighter. I tried to go legit, but no one would hire me after running a simple background check. A Twi’Lek named Vanya gave me some work, and I was able to clear my debts. Using my engineering knowledge, I converted my ship to be able to collect info on rival gangs and sell that back to the Black Sun. They pay me well, and I keep my ship running and food on the table. Along the way, I picked up two droids, an old Intelligence droid named AV-8 and a small BD-like droid named SPK-4.
I’m not a good smuggler; I can’t shoot very well, and I have no real poker face. But I can fly a ship like the best of them. The left seat in my cockpit is the only place in the galaxy where things ever make sense to me. At some point, I was put in touch with the Rebellion, and under the noses of Black Sun, I started running missions for them on the side. So far, I haven’t been caught.
Solus Raam was born in 22 BBY during the Clone Wars on Mandalore. His parents were engineers and shielded him from the ongoing conflicts on Mandalore and around the Galaxy as much as they could. Solus, like many Mandalorians, was left homeless and familyless after the Night of Thousand Tears. He began using much more caution about where and when he donned his silver and blue Mandalorian armor.
His contacts with Specter 5 led him to Rebel Forces, and he was able to channel his hatred for the empire into running missions for the Rebellion. He excelled at helping with Imperial schematics and pinpointing weak spots in the Imperial supply chain, which led to bigger tasks for the Rebellion like smuggling and even repairing undercover flight crafts. He dons the Wren stylized Rebel Warbird, a Relby V10 Carbine and a Westar blaster pistol.
On runs for the Rebellion Solus would carry an X-8 Nightsniper pistol, plenty of data storage cartridges, and a few extra credits to buy his way out of a tight situation.
Astra wields questions like a saber: with such precision that you don’t even realize you’ve been cut until long after she’s gained the upper hand. The child of a shady Chandrillian antiquarian with aspirations, she was educated on Coruscant with the galactic elite. It was there she was radicalized after witnessing first hand how power corrupts. Her mother’s less-than-honest dealings introduced her to an entirely different kind of crowd, so she’s as comfortable in an outer rim cantina as she is at a society gala. The game really isn’t all that different.
Astra always knows the right thing to ask. Even after a brief encounter, you feel understood in a way you never have before. Which is how, 10 minutes into meeting her, you find yourself sharing something so deeply personal that hours later you wonder “Can I trust her?” And you can — as long as you continue to do favors when she contacts you. She won’t tell your secrets, but she sure will use them to her advantage.
And yet somehow you leave every conversation feeling — not exactly good — but like someone really knows that you exist in this expansive universe. So even though you‘ve told yourself over and over to play your cards close to your chest you can’t seem to stop showing your hand as soon as she smiles sympathetically, eyes crinkling with warmth and understanding. How is it that she seems to just get you? And how is it that you didn’t even get her last name? Or her profession? Or…anything about her? Next time you’ll keep things to yourself. Next time, you’re sure.
Dregen Hausk. Owner and Pilot for Hausk Logistics System. Former Shoretrooper turned smuggler, then legitimate cargo pilot. Recruited by the rebellion to fly reconnaissance and strike missions. After the fall of the empire, Dregen returned to Trillo Shipping. On a high-profile shipment, Dregen was shot down and captured by a pirate and his crew. He was placed in carbonite for close to 20 years. When the old pirate hide was discovered by the resistance, Dregen was freed. After months of recovery, Dregen started Hausk Logistics, and the rest is history.
Ant Degro grew distaste for the Empire at a very early age when he was taken from his home and placed into work camps when the Galactic Empire occupied and stripped his home world of Garel in the Lothal sector of its natural resources. Ant became very proficient in weapons & explosives while working in these camps and eventually, along with a few others, escaped and went into hiding.
Ant did everything and anything to survive; he relied on his knowledge of neighboring systems and became a small time thief, con artist, smuggler & arms dealer. Putting what he learned in the Imperial camps to good use, he and others staged numerous calculated strikes towards Imperial Garrisons all throughout the sector, which gave him determination and purpose. One such strike cost Ant his right arm when things didn’t go according to plan, but that didn’t stop him from continuing to stick it to the Empire.
A small craft pilot born in 20 BBY on Bakura. He is currently working in the outer rim, primarily along the route between Bakura and Wick. His father, Ivn Hydantoin, served under Generals Kenobi and Skywalker during the Clone Wars in the Open Circle Armada as a BTL-B "Y-wing" heavy fighter pilot. Dem wanted to follow in his father's footsteps, but after the siege of Mandalore, Ivn hung up his wings and discouraged his son from military service. Instead, Dem trained to become a pilot for a merchant fleet, doing small jobs as a co-pilot where he could, learning the trade. He made some contacts in the shipping business, both legitimate and "less legitimate." His skills with a computer also earned him a bit of a reputation as a slicer on the side.
Eventually, his mercantile work and his slicing side hustle geve Dem enough credits to purchase a dilapidated Coruscant-class Heavy Courier from a junk merchant on Tattoine. Realizing it wasn't as spaceworthy as he'd been led to believe, he was desperate (and broke...) looking for an Astromech to help him with necessary repairs. He found it in the person of Siress Medusa, a young astromech mechanic with a BB-unit droid. Unfortunately for Dem, once he and Siress got the ship into orbit, he found out that Cyress was wanted by the local First Order garrison for stealing the BB-unit! They managed to escape and fled to the Bakura side of the galaxy.
Dem's father's background as a pilot for the Republic, combined with his outrage at his new partner Siress' treatment at the First Order's hands, has led to his willingness to ferry information to the Resistance when it comes his way. His activities came to the attention of the Burgundy Squadron, and from that point, he has been an active conduit of information on First Order movements.
Unassuming and operating in plain sight, the merchant known simply as "The Tailor" seemingly sells clothing and soft goods in bazaars across the galaxy; that Rebel Alliance activity tends to follow in her wake feels a coincidence for now...
Mysterious and tight-lipped, it's unclear the origin of her goods; whether she works with a benefactor, if the apparel she sells is as innocent as it appears, or if it contains special properties... best to check the pockets...
Raised on the jungle world of Akiva, Drayson is a former Imperial Special Forces Reconnaissance soldier that grew disillusioned with the reality of Palpatine’s regime. As the war grew to a boiling point, a chance meeting with a Rebel Pilot during the Rebellion’s retreat of Yavin IV would be the catalyst for him to use his training for a force for good. He seeks to earn his redemption by taking what some would call “dirtier” missions for Burgundy Squadron and hunt down remaining Imperial loyalists, bringing them to justice.
