The Clash is a good for nothing, no account, transient, space trash with a bad attitude. That said, it’s hard to find someone who spends more time scanning coms and mining archives.

If you’re in the outer rim and your scanning frequencies, you might just catch his broad beam transmissions. Music, mayhem, and a healthy dose conspiracy theories.

Rebellion, Resistance, The Clash is happy to help the underdogs, especially if it means saying Karabast to the establishment!

Concord Dawn, Mandalore Sector, 15ABY: I had a visitor today.  Not sure how he found me, not that I was hiding.  Walked right in and sat down before I noticed him.  Getting soft. “Maddox.” I said as he leaned in, dropped something on my table. “You look different” He meant my armor, last time he saw me I was running covert ops for the rebellion. Now I’m clan Alor, war chief.  An imposing figure huddled in my booth at the bar. “I’m old.”

He laughs.  “I’ve been looking for a good courier, but Bright Helm Logistics doesn’t show up in the guild register anymore.”

“I’m ‘retired’.  Haven’t you heard? Mandalore is resurgent.”  I need to tone down the sarcasm, times are the best they’ve been.  Now serious: “We’ve driven any imperial remnants from the sector, what have you heard?”

“What have I seen.”  He leans in.  “Something’s moving beyond the reach of the New Republic. Out in the unknown territories.  Imperials blink off our radar everywhere in the galaxy, then reappear out there.  They’re gathering for something.”

“So send the new republic fleet after them.”

“There’s no stomach for another war in the core worlds.  We need to bring them proof of the danger.  I need you to help me get it.” I look down at the table, at what he put there when he sat down.  My old unit patch.  Burgundy 18.

Warboy is a bounty hunter, he is also a hyper-trainwreck. You know how some people just can’t stay out of their own way? No matter how big the score or successful the contract it seems that Warboy is never more than a day away from being broke, stranded, starving or in debt to one of the syndicates. Partisan, rebel, criminal, bad influence, Warboy has been called many things but “reliable” is not one of them.

Truth is Warboy would be batha dung by now if it weren’t for, Vez Dravik, a fellow collector of imperial flotsam, scars and spare parts. The two have brought in a fair few bounties together. Vez’s skills, forethought and follow through making up for Warboy’s over enthusiasm and tendency to improvise!

The poster child for the word ‘enigma’ Drio Faire knows nothing of her past. No friends, family, or home world, she can recall. No memory of her name or who she is. Her current life was gifted to her from a strange three eyed woman “E”. Drio awoke one night after her ship crashed into a field on Lothal, and she was found and nursed back to health by E and her small army of wild lothcats. Dubbed ‘Drio Faire’ by E in an off-handed comment one night after she called her a ‘drifter’ or in her tongue “driofaire”. She had also, begrudgingly, mentioned that if times were different, she would probably have had a grandchild around her age now.

Over many roations as she became stronger, E begain teaching her how to defend herself and be out on her own bringing her into town and whispering information about people to her. People began to talk about the strange haired girl who stayed with the crazy lothcat lady but never said anything to her face. When whispers of Drio being the granddaughter of E, E never seemed to correct or discredit this gossip.

E showed her how to fix the old speeder they used to get into town, the best places to hunt or find food, who was trustworthy in town to talk to. Days turned into weeks, weeks into months and months into a year. Waking up one morning, Drio found herself alone. Speeder bike missing she assumed E had gone into town, so she waited for her return, hours passed and then as the sun began to set Drio decided to make the walk into town at first light.

E returned, unharmed but tired looking. Drio angerly told her how worried she was that E had just upped and left her with no explanation. After much arguing, E told her that she was once a smuggler for the rebellion, that she took anything from information to weapons to medical supplies to different rebel locations. She had come into some important information and needed to deliver it face to face and had no time to tell her before she left. As E finished her story, a man appeared from the darkness, an old friend according to E , who had an offer of a lifetime for Drio.

As near as he can figure it, A’lek was born on Mina Rau in 49BBY to parents who valued spatchka more than a child. He was five when he was sold to the smuggler Tado Beck, an Ardinian. He was useful to the smuggler because he was small enough to crawl into the secret hold, usually full of spice or weapons. If A’lek had a family name it was long lost, Tado gave him the last name of Sylop, old Corellian for idiot.

The years with Tado weren’t bad, he usually had enough to eat, and even managed to hide a few credits that escaped from the smuggler grip. And he learned what would end up being a lifelong favorite, Sabacc. Around 37 BBY he had reached the end of his usefulness to the smuggler, he could no longer get into the secret hold, at 12 years old, he found himself abandoned on Coruscant to fend for himself.

Few of the inhabitants of mid-level of the city world took pity on the young orphan, so he learned to depend on his skill at cards to keep him from sinking lower into the cities depths. In the slower times on the smuggler ship they played Sabacc quite a lot, and even managed to win a few credits off the smuggler, and more than a few beatings for when he was caught cheating. By age 30 he had established himself well enough that he was able to buy a small ship. Then came the Empire.

Seeing what this new empire was doing to the people around him finally turned him to smuggling weapons for thr rebellion. It was a short leap to actively be becoming part of the rebel alliance… And they even had quite a few good card players! He acquired his scout trooper helmet on his first combat mission on a planet he never really knew the name of, they just called it the mud ball. At first he just kept the helmet as a memory of the first imperial that he captured, then he began slowly modifying it. The helmet has helped him on quite a few missions, and some of his fellow rebels now recognize the helmet more than his face.

Imperial Interrogation Notes: Affiliation: Folk the Empire, Project Feedback
Occupation: Captain of The Ronto’s Call

X’Lan Strom is revealed to be a serious and articulate human who eschews violent encounters for guile and cunning. Known to cheat at cards, alter chain codes, plan & execute tibanna gas leaks aboard numerous Imperial vessels, current reports indicate a ruthless protectiveness of his crew mates.

Arrested repeatedly for smuggling holodiscs, dissemination of broadcast propaganda and crimes against the Empire, Strom resisted most forms of torture at the Narkina facility. Working with Jeks Zartini, they reconfigured The Ronto’s Call into a broadcast and signal disruption station. The trio, known as “Project Feedback” hid in the Alderaan debris field and spearheaded Radio Free Alderaan.

UPDATE: Strom’s work with Project Feedback and Folk the Empire have earned him a pardon. Officers should consider him a Rebel in good standing.

The breadth of Khyr Hammerlind’s ability to entertain and enrapture his audience is clearly represented by the wild and untamed shouts, hollers, and twangs on these holodiscs. “ - The New Republic Echo Ottdefa

Khyr Hammerlind (20 BBY - 34 ABY), along with his band Folk the Empire, played a major role in the foundation of the music/social movement now known as “poli-trashfolk”. He also became and remains an inspiration for folksingers, protest singers, and mod hipsters across the galaxy. Folk The Empire composed and recorded material from countless cultures but is most well-known for their anti-Imperial anthems and re-imagining of Rebel Alliance soldier songs and ballads.

Drawing heavily from his upbringing on Tatooine and as a DJ for the rebel radio station Radio Free Alderaan, Khyr’s music helped spread news, propaganda, as well as tales from the battlefront; his preservation of historical songs continued to provide dimension and insight into life before and during the war against the Empire. While war raged, Khyr and FtE were driven by the knowledge that they were doing something positive despite never participating in armed conflict. After the Battle of Endor, FtE based their operations on the forest moon studying Ewok culture and compiling hundreds and recording tracks of lost, damaged, or classic songs; some even from the previously outlawed and maligned Jedi religion. Thousands of recordings of pre-Empire cultural, religious, and political songs can now be found in the Project Feedback archives at the New Republic Academy on Codata.

After that, she spends her days working as a mechanic, and drowning her sorrows and frustration at night. One day, she is approached with an opportunity to find a new purpose, with Burgundy Squadron.

Discovering she has a knack for intelligence gathering she finds her new family. Due to her mechanical aptitude, she is sent to work as a scrapper and junk trader on Lothal undercover to gather intelligence for the rebellion. There she trades in both scrap and intelligence to help the rebellion.

Scum Rat. Mechanic. Drummer. Saboteur. Rebel Scum. Jeks Zartini was born in a filthy con-ap on Level 2112 Coruscant in the tumultuous days prior to the fall of the Republic. At 10, his parents were blackmailed by Imperial officers and killed in a bizarre hyperdrive accident Coruscant police felt was “better left unsolved”. Jeks was then forcibly enlisted in an Imperial training facility, but scarpered into the shadows of the city where he began running small cons and “fixing” betting machines at the Sicmoo’s Horn; an unlicensed casino and speakeasy owned by his mentor/surrogate parent D’recca Fass, Bith drummer and entrepreneur.

Zartini, and his data droid RA-D10, under the apprenticeship of Fass, learned to hack transport ship maintenance, broadcast telemetry, and hyperspace navigating as a way to run cons on drunk patrons. As the small club prospered, it drew the attention of Zelgo the Hutt. Fass, worried for his adopted son, demanded Jeks flee Coruscant before the Hutt found more nefarious uses for the young urchin. A talented mekrat and burgeoning spy, Jeks  “arranged” security systems about The Ronto’s Call to fail and offered to fix problems he created by trading payment for passage off-world. This is the genesis of Project Feedback and Radio Free Alderaan.

Following the Battle of Hoth, Jeks devised a plan to lash out at the growing Empire by putting his broadcast skills to the test. The trio locked a secret orbit in the debris of Alderaan and began intercepting Imperial broadcasts and selling fleet movements to the Rebel groups while running a pirate radio station and selling hidden messages to various pirate and rebel groups. In the wake of the Battle of Endor, the crew would begin to transform Project Feedback into the galactic trash-folk outfit Folk The Empire.

Growing up in the shipyards of Corellia during the final years of the Empire left a particular mark on Lothar Weela. His family maintained vessels they would never own for people who never noticed them, and the New Republic that followed changed the name on the paperwork without changing much else. Working-class Corellians like the Weelas found themselves with the same dwindling options dressed in different colors. At seventeen, Lothar left with a tool belt and no plan beyond refusing to work for anyone flying Imperial colors, old or new.

In the decades since, Weela has worked the Outer Rim as a scrapper and mechanic, developing a reputation for fixing things that other people have given up on and moving cargo that other people would rather not touch. He is not a soldier and will tell you so plainly. What he is, is useful: a man with a ship that runs quiet, a practiced eye for things that don’t belong in a debris field, and a long working relationship with the Gatherers of Black Spire Outpost on Batuu. He has spent years quietly recovering Jedi relics, running courier routes between people who cannot afford to be seen speaking to each other, and tracking inbound shipments that turn out to matter more than anyone expected. He has never held a title or claimed a faction. He has a head full of contacts he has never written down, because written things can be found.

He connected with Burgundy Squadron on Batuu. An operative he had worked with on a prior courier run made an introduction - the kind that gets made when someone has watched a person do the right thing quietly, more than once, without being asked. Weela showed up, did the job in front of him, and has been “Burgundy-adjacent” since. He is simply available, capable, and pointed in the right direction - but he has begun to warm to the idea of keeping his connection with his found family.

Born on the mist-shrouded world of Dorin, Vez Dravik was just thirteen when the Separatists brought war to his doorstep. During the battle for Dorin, columns of B2 super battle droids swept through the Kel Dor cities, leveling homes and massacring civilians. Vez lost his entire family in the attack—his parents and younger sibling caught in the crossfire before Republic reinforcements finally arrived to reclaim the planet.

In the silent wreckage that followed, grief and fury became Vez’s only companions. While scavenging the battlefield, he found the shattered arm of a fallen B2 super battle droid. Too young to fight but too angry to forget, he hid it away—his first trophy, his first weapon. Over the years, he reworked it into a rugged gauntlet, forged not just from durasteel but from the pain of everything he’d lost.

When the Empire rose from the Republic’s ashes, Vez vanished into the fringes. A ghost among rebel cells, he emerged only to strike. His armor is a brutal patchwork of stolen victories: a Death Trooper’s modified leg plating, a Death Troopers gauntlet, Imperial cold weather assault trooper boots, and a Shoretrooper’s chest plate. For Vez, every piece is more than protection. It’s a message. The Empire built its power on the bones of his people. Now, he wears those bones as armor. Vez doesn’t just survive the Empire. He breaks it piece by piece. Every scrap of his gear speaks louder than words: “You tried to erase me. Now I wear your failure.” He walks in silence. And silence follows him.
